When the New Sounds Wrong: Why the Music of the Future Is Often Rejected at First

Requirements

  • Deadline: September 30th, 2026

  • Word count: 1000-1500 words

  • Who may submit: musicians, scholars, students, composers, critics, historians, and independent writers

  • Submissions must be in English.

  • Previously published work is not permitted.

  • The essay must be engaging for both music lovers and scholars.

Please note that the contribution is uncompensated. The author will receive full editorial credit, a dedicated contributor profile, and a post on social media.
